Should we try to reduce someone else's karma, or leave it to them?
We should leave someone else's karma to them and focus on our own spiritual growth. Each person must deal with their own karma, learning from their experiences to become independent. Supporting others with compassion is beneficial, but trying to change their karma is not our responsibility.
According to Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, karma is a complex and unfathomable concept. It is important to understand that each individual has their own karma to deal with, and it is not our responsibility to change or reduce someone else's karma. Gurudev emphasizes the importance of allowing others to carry their own burdens and learn from their experiences. By doing so, individuals become more independent and are encouraged to change their own karma through their actions and spiritual practices.
Gurudev also highlights that while some karma can be adjusted through spiritual practices like meditation, chanting, and charity, other karma must simply be experienced. It is crucial to approach life with wisdom and conviction, allowing negative karma to dissolve naturally. Instead of trying to reduce someone else's karma, it is more beneficial to focus on your own spiritual growth and support others with compassion without taking on the burden of making them happy.
Ultimately, the path to freedom from karma lies in surrendering both good and bad karma to the Divine and engaging in practices that prevent karma from sticking to us, much like how ghee prevents halwa from sticking to a pan. By focusing on our own spiritual journey and understanding the vastness of karma, we can navigate life with more ease and grace.
